Go EV News is an independent, India-focused resource for people researching electric vehicles. We help you answer the questions that actually decide a purchase: what an EV really costs to run compared to petrol, which subsidies apply in your state, and how EVs stack up against the alternatives.
Most EV content online is either written by automakers trying to sell you a specific model, or by broad auto blogs that treat India as an afterthought. We do neither. Every guide and tool on this site is built around Indian fuel prices, Indian electricity tariffs, and Indian subsidy rules, and we say clearly when the numbers don’t favor an EV yet.
What we cover
Our EV vs Petrol Cost Calculator lets you plug in your own driving distance, fuel price, and electricity rate to see a real break-even period, not a generic estimate. Our Buying Guide covers what to check before you sign for an EV in India. Our Subsidies section tracks central and state-level EV incentives. Our Alternatives section compares EVs against petrol and CNG options head to head.
How we work
We are not paid by any automaker, dealership, or charging network to favor their product. Where we do use affiliate or referral links, they are disclosed, and they never determine which EV or comparison we recommend. We update figures as fuel prices, electricity tariffs, and subsidy policies change, since these move often in India.

How Go EV News Sources Its Data
Go EV News compiles subsidy and pricing data from public government notifications, including the Ministry of Heavy Industries, which administers India’s PM E-DRIVE scheme, alongside individual state transport department policies.
